On behalf of the artist, The Hold Artspace warmly invites you to join us for the opening of Altogether Elsewhere, an exhibition of new paintings, drawings, etchings and sculptures by Archer Davies. This exhibition will comprise of works created both in the artist’s Brisbane studio and during his recent residency in Philadelphia. Davies’ work utilises everything from 3D computer models to pop culture imagery to traditional observational painting, etching, drawing and sculpture. This show is a response to the stark realities of contemporary culture and the human relationships that exist within it. The artist uses multiple mediums to change context, manipulate meanings and create something entirely new.
