The Art meets Science Exhibition is an opportunity for artists from across South East Queensland to join the Artist in Residence Scientist artists to showcase their recent artworks that demonstrate a strong Art-Science connection.
The partner organisations at the Ecosciences Precinct (ESP) Dutton Park hold a number of public and internal events during National Science week. Since 2012, one of these events has been the hosting of an Art meets Science Exhibition. The Exhibitions have proved to be very popular with visitors to the building and the approximately 800 science workers at ESP.
Background
In 2015 and 2016 the we hosted an Artist in Residence Science Program (AIRS). These residencies culminated in Art meets science exhibitions that showcased the work of the participating artists and other invited artists. Some of the artists from these programs will be exhibiting at the 2017 Art meets Science Exhibition.
