For 50 years, artisan has been enriching lives through their core activities of exhibitions, workshops, public programs, and events. Now we have an even greater opportunity to connect craft and design skills to the Brisbane community, taught by some of Queensland’s best artists.
artisan‘s Programs, Access & Engagement Manager, Simone Linssen said “Brisbane is an hub for creative talent, featuring world-class makers and educators in craft and design. This new space will allow us to offer fantastic new workshops and courses with the aim to inspire and educate. We are excited about launching right in the heart of Brisbane’s creative community.”
artisan‘s marketing manager, Ellie Anderson added “The last two years of frequent lockdowns and isolation has been tough on mental health collectively. Studies have shown that engaging in creative activities improves brain function, mental health, and physical health. We want this ‘Makers’ space to be a place where people can connect, be inspired and unwind.”
