Mitchell Fine Art is pleased to present ‘Artists of the North Country’, an exhibition of Aboriginal artworks from the Arnhem land region of the Northern Territory.
Arnhem Land is home to one of the oldest continuously living cultures in the world, with a diversity of different languages, customs, and laws. There is a storytelling tradition which is more than 50,000 years old.
The exhibition features bark paintings, hollow log memorial poles, works on paper and paintings. These works have been held in a private collection and this is the first time they have been offered on the market.
