The Bluethumb Art Prize has fast become one of Australia’s most popular art prizes. It attracted over 2,500 entries in 2020 and is expected to at least double that number this year.
The first ever Bluethumb Art Prize was held in 2017, with the winner taking away a $10,000 cash prize. It’s only gotten bigger and better from there: More awards, more cash prizes, more opportunities for artists, and double the overall winner’s prize money make it the art prize to take artists’ careers to the next level.
With winners in categories for Abstract, Landscape, Portrait, Still Life, Photography, Digital, Sculpture as well as the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Award AND an overall winner award worth $20,000 this is a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our artists
