Body Transgress centers upon the engagement of artists with the body as a site of practice through digital media. Featuring the work of emergent Brisbane based practitioners, the exhibition charts the manner in which these artists playfully approach and manipulate the body, highlighting subversive narratives and transgressive acts. Utilising journeys, confessions and gestures, these artists demonstrate a broad range of practice but are aligned through their use of video as a medium, to initiate an unexpected experience of the body.
