DEADLINE : 16th Nov, 2012
Boxcopy is seeking expressions of interest for two volunteer gallery manager positions, to commence from January 2013.
Boxcopy is an artist-run initiative dedicated to supporting the experimental and innovative practices of early and mid-career Australian artists. Boxcopy embraces risk-taking, experimentation, collaborative processes and a d.i.y. approach to contemporary art practice. We support artists to develop and present new works in a critically discursive environment through our program of exhibitions, publications and events. Boxcopy operates on a not-for profit and volunteer basis.
The gallery managers work closely with the Director and gallery interns to deliver Boxcopy’s program of exhibitions. The Boxcopy Gallery Manager position offers the opportunity to further develop existing skills in gallery management, exhibition installation, volunteer and event coordination, as well as providing the successful applicant with tangible project-management achievements in the visual arts.
Expressions of interest are invited from motivated individuals who are dedicated to the ethos of an artist-run initiative, have the ability to liaise professionally with other artists and the general public; and who have practical, hands-on experience working in a gallery setting.
Send EOI outlining your relevant skills and interests, and a current CV to the Director at info@boxcopy.org by 16th November 2012.
