BrisAsia Symposium: Belonging

Deadline:

QPAC

BrisAsia Symposium 2019 – Belonging, is an intimate and thought-provoking day designed to inspire and connect individuals passionate about the drive for cultural change. The Symposium includes a range of interactive panel discussions and artistic performances. Topics of discussion include intercultural arts practice, cultural heritage and diplomacy, philosophy, creativity and wellbeing.

Sadly, Lee Lin Chin has had to withdraw as guest speaker from the Symposium. Please find below a personal message from Lee Lin Chin to her much-loved fans and followers:

“It is with a heavy heart that I must let all those planning to attend down. Due to personal commitments out of my control I shall be out of the country with family for the foreseeable future. I wish to offer my sincerest apologies and shall endeavour to visit up north as soon as I can. I hope you can forgive me.” Lee Lin Chin

We are happy to announce that cook, writer and television presenter Adam Liaw will be joining us as a new guest speaker at the 2019 Symposium. His television series, Destination Flavour, has travelled through Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Scandinavia and Singapore, winning an AACTA award for Best Lifestyle Program. Liaw is an official ‘Goodwill Ambassador for Japanese Cuisine’ and UNICEF Australia’s National Ambassador for Nutrition.

We look forward to sharing this fabulous day with Adam along with a host of other guests and panellists including ABC Radio National host Paul Barclay who will conduct a live recording of Big Ideas.

The Symposium strengthens the bonds of cultural and multi-disciplinary communities. Forge new pathways with fellow creatives over a curated lunch by local food entrepreneur and celebrity chef Margaret Nguyen. Nurture your sense of belonging through conversations with our growing collective of innovators dedicated to bridging our networks of cultures and communities. Join the stellar panel and engage with local and international thought leaders, and leave with fresh perspectives, rejuvenated ideas and stronger creative connections.

Please note: A transaction fee of $7.20 applies per transaction.
