Temporary Art Program 2018
Brisbane City Council (Council) is seeking proposals for the delivery of the Temporary Art Program 2018 activations.
Council’s Temporary Art Program is an artistic program that will transform the city’s outdoor public spaces through a series of temporary creative activations.
Council invites all artists, producers and creative collectives to submit a proposal to develop and deliver a series of public outdoor contemporary creative activations across Brisbane‘s local government area (LGA).
The successful applicant will be procured to deliver eight outdoor contemporary creative activations between 1 February – 30 November 2018. Four of eight activations must take place in inner city Brisbane.
Creative proposals are encouraged from individuals and organisations from all art disciplines including, but not limited to: visual arts, performance, film, music, theatre, architecture, design, technology, gaming, comedy and fashion.
One of the eight activations must be a part of the BrisAsia Festival program between 10 February – 4 March 2018. The BrisAsia Festival activation must feature and promote local artists who identify with Asian culture or heritage. The applicant must also take into consideration the BrisAsia Festival 2018 theme “Flying Colours” when developing the concept for this activation. The theme is open to the applicant/s own interpretation.
A fee will be paid to the successful applicant for the production of Council’s Temporary Art Program 2018.
Applications close 5pm Monday 6 November 2017. All applicants will be advised of the outcomes by Friday 24 November 2017.
