Call Out: 2027–2028 Exhibition Proposals – Blak Dot Gallery

Deadline:

Deadline: June 28

Blak Dot Gallery is now accepting proposals for its 2027–2028 exhibition program, inviting artists, collectives, curators, and emerging curators to bring forward bold and ambitious ideas.

As an Indigenous-run contemporary art space, Blak Dot is seeking submissions from First Nations, global Indigenous, and PoC practitioners working across all disciplines. Proposals can span exhibitions, performances, screenings, workshops, and experimental formats that push the boundaries of artistic practice.

The gallery is particularly interested in group exhibitions and collaborative projects, with funding support available for selected proposals aligned with major Melbourne festivals including Midsumma, Yirramboi 2027, and Melbourne Fringe.

Blak Dot offers support across exhibition development, installation, promotion, and event facilitation, encouraging artists to take an active role in shaping and presenting their work within a supportive, community-driven environment.

Whether you are an emerging curator, an artist with a developed concept, or a collective seeking a platform—this is an opportunity to realise your vision within a dynamic and culturally engaged space.
