Das 500 is the online critical writing space for Das Platforms, home to Das Superpaper and Das Cinema.Our editorial focus is on dissecting emerging and contemporary arts practice across all mediums, as well as the critical analysis of issues and trends within the contemporary art community – all within 500 words or less.This can include short reviews and articles, but we also strongly support experimental approaches to critical writing.
As of October 2011, we will be publishing themed monthly issues. The first theme is LANGUAGE, and whether that means text, narrative, translation, communication or something else entirely, we want to hear your ideas on how it relates to cultural production or the arts.
