Chonggang Du

Chonggang Du taught at Jinan Craft Arts School and Shandong Arts Academy for 18 years before moving to Australia in 2003. He has since completed a MFA at Monash University where he wrote a thesis titled ‘Hybridity and Art’ in 2009. Du’s notion of hybridity is based on his experience of being between two cultures – Chinese and Western.

Du’s work has been widely represented in several group and solo exhibitions, as well as residing in the National Art Museum of China and private collections throughout Australia, China and the USA.
