Both his undergraduate and post-graduate degrees were completed at the Queensland College of Art.
STATEMENT
With my paintings I attempt to track and capture a strain of modernism that has a history and contemporary expression in design, video games and science fiction. I do this to counter the notion that modernism, particularly painting, is a solely progressive, authoritarian and puritanical phenomenon. Recently I have introduced simple organic forms into my visual vocabulary to counter the severe tone of the hard edge elements that often dominate my work. I have also begun to re-explore the sculptural modes of my earlier work that continue to inform my current production. The synthesis of these various visual languages is my goal.
