The Australian Cinémathèque at GOMA provides an ongoing program of film and video that you’re unlikely to see elsewhere. Screenings take place Wednesday and Friday nights and Saturday and Sundays matinees. For newcomers to the Cinémathèque here’s a map and information to help you find your way.
Most screenings are free; however for ticketed film programs the Cinémathèque Box Office opens one hour prior to screenings and you are able to purchase snacks and refreshments during this time. You are more than welcome to take your drinks into the cinema. As we do not screen trailers prior to films we suggest you arrive early to allow plenty of time to enter and find a seat.
Keep your eye on our Events Calendar for special events to broaden your cinema experience. To stay up to date with all that’s happening at the Australian Cinémathèque, register to receive Cinemail in the QAGOMA eNews sign up below.
