CONVERGE

Deadline:

39 James St, Fortitude Valley

For 2019’s final showcase iteration, Side Gallery presents a satellite group exhibition in partnership with Axis Capital, The Fitout Studio, Felon’s Brewery, and Designfront.

The two venues, Side Gallery in Red Hill and the newly renovated space in James Street, present polarising versions of the current artistic climate reflecting a cross-section between industry and a formal white wall gallery. Collectively, the two venues represent the recent shift within our creative economy. Our cultural and creative communities are intersecting (or converging) with big industry, and this is forming a basis for a large part of formal work opportunities for Brisbane’s artists.

Visit both venues across the weekend of the 13, 14, and 15 December to experience the two exhibition components of CONVERGE.
