WHERE : A-CH Gallery, 75 Vulture St, Brisbane

On the edge is the first solo exhibition from Brisbane based artist, Dan McCabe. Recently finishing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours at Queensland College of Art, the exhibition presents a selection of work from his ongoing series Photo-drawings. Dan McCabe’s practice investigates the inconsistencies and flexibility of our visual perception. Caught between the tangible gesture and the discernible image, On the edge challenges the human ability to interpret and comprehend representation. The exhibition consists of matte photographs that have been literally drawn on with pencil. The photographs themselves depict liminal suburban and rural landscapes that are locally recognisable yet universal.

Exhibition Dates : 22nd of November – 1st of December, 2012.
