Deadline:

UQ Art Museum

The UQ Art Museum presents screenings of ‘Occupation: Native’ and ‘We don’t need a map’. These powerful and entertaining films interrogate Australia’s history.

From film writer and director Trisha Morton-Thomas’ perspective, ‘Occupation: Native highlights’ what has been missing from Australian history books.

‘We don’t need a map’ explores the history and meaning of the Southern Cross and is sure to provoke a hearty debate … because it taps into the complex heart of who we are as Australians.

Also explore our new exhibition ‘Defying Empire: 3rd National Indigenous Art Triennial’ which brings together works by 30 contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from across Australia.

FREE. Places very limited.
Please RSVP to avoid disappointment. Please give up your ticket if you can’t make it.
