Deadline:

Deadline:17th July, 10:30am - 2:30pm

Have you ever looked at an artwork and thought ‘I just don’t get it’? Or visited an exhibition that has left you wanting to dig deeper into the artwork?

Come along to Caboolture Regional Art Gallery and DIG deeper into contemporary art. Facilitated by gallery staff, this immersive experience will engage participants with the themes and concepts in current exhibition Her beauty and her terror.

The day will start with an interactive guided tour to unpack and discuss the artworks, followed by lunch and a tailored workshop to further explore the exhibition by encouraging participants to create their own visual responses.

Depending on the weather for the day, the workshop will either be:

An outdoor experience with an en plein air watercolour workshop to explore our green and urban space.

Draw inspiration from Dorothea Mackellar’s poem, My Country and use watercolours to illustrate a line from her poem.

Both workshops provide insight into artistic techniques and further explore themes from the exhibition.
