Applications are now open for the 12th Dorothy Waxman International Textile Design Prize, recognising emerging talent in textile and fashion design from around the world.
Presented as part of the TALKING TEXTILES initiative, the prize celebrates innovative and sustainable approaches to textile design. Current students enrolled in textile, fashion, interior or lifestyle textile programs, along with graduates from 2025 and 2026, are eligible to apply.
Finalists will present their work online before an international jury in September 2026, with selected projects featured across digital and social media platforms throughout the month.
The winner will receive a USD $5,000 prize, generously sponsored by Mohawk Group.
Applicants are required to submit:
- A conceptual statement (maximum 200 words)
- A technical description (maximum 200 words)
- Between 4 and 10 high-resolution images of their work
- Optional supporting video documentation
Named in honour of Dorothy Waxman, the prize recognises her lasting contribution to textile innovation, trend forecasting and international design.
