Ryan Presley creates large watercolour paintings formed from detailed drawings and sketches. His ongoing project Blood Money (2010-current), on display at the IMA now, reimagines Australian banknotes with the figureheads of Aboriginal history.
Learn how to skilfully compose an image, considering light, shadow and colour using traditional sketching materials like colour, graphite and watercolour pencils. With a particular focus on realistic rendering, Presley will guide you to draw a range of subjects and scenes in the IMA Studio.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to learn directly from the artist. Find out more via the IMA website here: https://bit.ly/2JlIBxx
Tickets to this workshop are available to purchase via Eventbrite and are $20 for IMA Members and $30 for Non-IMA Members
