Eight Embarrassed Males takes its starting point as a misremembering of the work, Ten Embarrassed Men by Swedish artist Annika Ström. Featuring the collaborative work of Joseph Breikers and Timothy P. Kerr, this exhibition will draw upon a shared interest in humour, text and semiotics. Realised as a large-scale installation encompassing drawing, sculpture, sound and video, Eight Embarrassed Males engages with the artists’ own sense of ambivalence towards the institutionalised world of contemporary art.

Joseph Breikers and Timothy P. Kerr are Brisbane-based artists who have worked collaboratively since 2004.
