Onespace Gallery

Onespace Gallery is excited to present new works by Leecee Carmichael in ‘Connecting Waves: A saltwater woman living on desert country’ – an exhibition proudly featured in the 2017 Quandamooka Festival, running from July – September “Celebrating culture, country and people”.

Elisa is a Ngughi woman from Quandamooka Country (Stradbroke Island), and currently Gilimbaa‘s Artist in Residence in Alice Springs, where she has been documenting her personal and creative journey as a Saltwater woman living on Desert Country. Inspired by her life in these two places, Leecee’s exhibition features woven and painted works that share the stories of her connection to the sand, sea and home Country.

‘Connecting Waves’ will be available to the public in the gallery and online from Wednesday 5 July 2017 and continues to Saturday 5 August 2017.

The opening night will be held on Friday 7 July 2017, 6–8pm.
We’re proud to announce that our special guest speaker Avril Quaill, Festival Curator of the Quandamooka Festival will be launching the exhibition at 6:30pm.
