Location: Griffith University Art Museum
Join us for a life drawing class with renowned artist Keith Burt, focussing on portraiture and the human form.
Drawing materials will be provided, however participants are welcome to bring their own media and journals if they prefer.
About Keith Burt:
Keith was born in Sydney, educated in Melbourne, and now lives and works in Brisbane. A two-time finalist in the Archibald Prize (2019, 2017), he left a career in amination and freelance illustration to paint full time in 2011. Winner of the 2011 Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing in 2011, he was a finalist in the 2019 inaugural Brisbane Portrait Prize, as well as the Black Swan Portrait Prize, Perth (2013), the Clayton Utz Art Prize, Brisbane (2013), the Churchie National Emerging Art Prize (2011, 2010) and the Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing (2010). Keith has undertaken commissions for Spicers Potts Point, the Queensland branch of the Australian Medical Association, Churchie Anglican Grammar School and Mater Hospital, Brisbane.
