Please join Brisbane-based artist, Daniel McKewen for a tour of our current exhibition Imaginary Accord on Saturday, 27 June, at 3pm.
McKewen is an artist whose practice investigates the intersections of contemporary art, popular culture, and the entertainment and financial industries. He appropriates elements from screen culture in order to examine and critique how these institutional structures operate culturally, socially, and politically. In 2013 McKewen was awarded his Doctorate of Philosophy from Queensland University of Technology, his artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally since 2006. McKewen is a founding member and serves on the board of Boxcopy, a Brisbane-based artist run initiative.
Coffee, tea, and biscuits from Jocelyn’s Provisions will be served. This public event is free and open to everyone.
