Five Sisters Funded Artist Residency

Deadline:

Deadline: April 20

The Five Sisters Funded Artist Residency is a unique opportunity offered by Edenhope Artist Residency (EAR), supporting artists to immerse themselves in a quiet regional environment in western Victoria.

Funded by the descendants of David and Mary Burns and their five daughters—Teenie, Belle, Jean, Nellie and Jessie—the residency honours deep family connections to Edenhope and aims to foster new creative relationships between artists and the local community.

This funded residency covers the full residency fee and includes a $500 stipend, providing time, space, and support for artists to focus on their practice. EAR offers access to well-equipped studio facilities including a printing press, 3D printers, a sewing machine, large format printer, and dedicated workspace.

The residency is self-directed, with no required outcomes, though artists are encouraged to engage with the community through a workshop, artist talk, exhibition, or similar activity during their stay.

Who Can Apply:
Open to artists working across all disciplines, from emerging to established practitioners seeking focused time away for creative development.

  • One-month residency in 2026 (dates negotiated with EAR)
