FOR / AGAINST is a group exhibition of new and experimental works by Meanjin (Brisbane) based artists Julia Scott Green, Christine Ko, Louis Lim, Felix Merry and Marc Pricop. All are alumni of the recently discontinued bachelor of photography degree at the Queensland College of Art.
The exhibition continues until 11th of September by appointment
The extent to which each artist identifies as a ‘photographer’ differs widely and has changed over time. Some are for photography, some are against, some sideways, some all of the above. Whichever direction they find themselves heading in, they are united by their shared curiosity in the expanded photographic field and its possibilities.
FOR / AGAINST hopes to give a platform to the rising energy of these artists and to spark renewed interest in, and conversation about, the future of photographic art practice and education here in Queensland.
This exhibition is following a covid-safe plan. we ask that you please sign in using the QLD check in App, sanitise your hands and wear a mask when indoors.
