Frontiers : new work by Marcel Daniels

5th - 15th Dec

WHEN : 5th – 15th Dec
WHERE : Current Projects

Google Earth is touted as being able to invite users to “take a virtual journey to any location in the world”, however there remain regions and whole communities that are inaccessible and unnavigable. In Frontiers, an exhibition of new work by Marcel Daniels, the artist challenges this contradiction by exploring the political underpinnings of a selection of ‘Google Earth’ images. Informed by a post-colonial position, Daniels considers ideas of perspective, illusion and what is rendered visible or hidden in
representation.
