Gaye Jurisich: Public places private thoughts

Public places private thoughts
is a small body of work that continues to explore abstracted narratives that have been part of Gaye’s creative oeuvre and exploration for several years. Gestural marks paired with sharp and organic edges of shapes marry the composition and mix jarringly with the artist’s intense use of colour. Earthy, natural and vibrant hues are smashed together in deliberately gestural marks to create an instinctually visceral body of work.
