To coincide with the opening of Gerhard Richter: The Life of Images at QAGOMA, Dr Rosemary Hawker, Dr Julie Fragar and Griffith University Art Museum Director Angela Goddard present this exciting opportunity for artists, postgraduate students, early-career researchers and academics throughout Australasia to contribute to a dynamic dialogue on art practice as framed through Richter’s example.
Gerhard Richter: Questions for Painters Postgraduate Symposium will provide an opportunity to meet and hear from distinguished artists working at the forefront of practical and theoretical approaches to contemporary painting. With a focus on practice-based research, speakers will use their own research and methodologies as case studies to shape this discussion.
