Glomation is a showcase of innovative contemporary animation from around the world. From the Latin word, animãtiõ, animation means ‘the act of bringing to life’ and it’s the focus for Parer Place Project for 2012.

This year’s screening program includes works from Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Australia. Glomation showcases innovative developments in animation and raises themes pertinent to contemporary animation worldwide.

This current instalment of Glomation includes a selection of works from the 120 animations divided into 11 line-ups, first presented at the Ars Electronica Festival 2011 in Linz, Austria. Ars Electronica Festival 2011 was curated by Christine Schöpf and Jürgen Hagler. The festival annually screens a selection of outstanding films submitted to the Cyberarts-Competition Prix Ars Electronica.
