Entries are now open for the Gosford Art Prize 2026, one of Australia’s longstanding regional art prizes and a significant event in the cultural calendar of New South Wales’ Central Coast.
Open to artists across Australia and working in all mediums, the prize offers a total prize pool of more than $55,000. Awards include the acquisitive Gosford Art Prize Major Prize valued at $25,000, the Gosford Ceramics Prize ($10,000), the First Nations Artist Prize ($10,000), and the Moving Image Art Award ($10,000), alongside Highly Commended and People’s Choice awards.
Established in 1970, the Gosford Art Prize has evolved from a community-driven initiative into a nationally recognised exhibition attracting more than 1,000 entries annually. The prize has played an important role in supporting Australian artists while building a significant collection through its acquisitive award.
