GRAFT: Embodiments of Displacement

21st May - 1st June

Webb Gallery, QCA

This exhibition of works by Fiona West consists of large scale  photographs paired with intimate objects for projection. With  reference to the South African diaspora, the works follow the  development of a key motif of a modified dashboard doll that acts as a metaphor for implied journeys, displacement and transformation.

This exhibition highlights the culmination of West’s Doctor of Visual Arts research into narratives of portability, and aims to reconcile her use of handcrafted constructions, assembled collages, kinetic objects and the amplification of their artifice within her videos and photographs.

Opening Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 10am – 4pm
Where: Webb Gallery, 226 Grey Street, South Bank, 4101
