Arrangements is a new solo exhibition of bronze sculptures by Guido Maestri that explores portraiture, memory and the changing nature of identity. Rather than presenting fixed likenesses, the sculptures depict faces that shift, fragment and transform, reflecting the fluid nature of personal experience over time.
Created during a particularly emotional period in the artist’s life, several works revisit a self-portrait originally modelled more than twelve years ago. By bringing together earlier and contemporary versions of himself, Maestri explores how identity is continually reshaped through memory, repetition and lived experience. His expressive bronze sculptures embrace uncertainty while remaining deeply human, offering a thoughtful meditation on time, transformation and selfhood.
