The International FiKVA Award 2026 is a global online painting competition open to artists aged 18 and over, offering up to €5,500 in prizes.
Focused on representational painting, the award invites submissions across a range of styles including realism, hyperrealism, photorealism, surrealism, and imaginative realism. Artists are encouraged to submit works that capture the essence of the real world while expressing a distinct artistic voice.
Open internationally, the award supports both emerging and established painters, providing global visibility through an online exhibition and promotional platforms.
Submissions must include original works created between 2024 and 2026, using traditional wet media such as oil, acrylic, watercolour, ink, gouache, or tempera. The competition is fully online, with no requirement to ship physical artworks.
A selection of top works will be featured in an online exhibition, with finalists and winners announced in June 2026.
