Jan Murphy Gallery is excited to announce Juz Kitson’s exhibition, You are here; right here, right now. Her first solo exhibition in Queensland, this body of work is ‘quintessential Kitson’ and combines an array of materials, including porcelain, wax, bone, silk, animal pelts and hair, to create works of great beauty, skill and creativity.

Since graduating, Kitson has received several accolades for her work and was recently included in the 2016 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art. She is represented in significant collections, such as the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA), Art Gallery of South Australia, Artbank and RMIT University.

Sydney born Kitson now divides her time between her two studios, one in regional NSW and the other in Jingdezhen, the ‘porcelain capital of China. This latest series of works incorporates reclaimed animal pelts, husks and tusks sourced through the rugged terrain of the Australian landscape and hand formed pure porcelaneous objects made whilst in China.
