Join Vault Art + Culture Magazine editor Alison Kubler and UAP’s Principal and Curatorial Lead Natasha Smith as they showcase a handful of Australia’s influential women artists in celebration of Know My Name.
In this panel and knowledge sharing session, we’ll have the globally recognised visual artist Lindy Lee, the multi-disciplinary artist working across performance, installation, video, painting and sculpture Nell, multidisciplinary artist and Quandamooka woman Elisa Jane Carmichael, internationally recognised artist for her larger than life and stunning wall tableau installations, Sally Smart and last but definitely not the least, a social media influencer, and photographer, Margaret Zhang, who will all talk about their contributions in our nation’s creative industry and why Know My Name is a defining moment in the history of the National Gallery of Australia as it asserts the Gallery’s new mission to lead a more progressive and inclusive cultural agenda.
This event also marks the launch of the much anticipated Vault Issue 32; The Future is Female, Vault’s biggest issue to date spanning 160 pages of content by leading female identifying voices edited by Editor in Chief Alison Kubler including features and interviews with Cigdem Aydemir, Yevgeniya Baras, Yuki Kihara, Wangechi Mutu, Bhenji Ra, Rose Nolan, Izabela Pluta, Glenda Nicholls, Michelle Hamer, Marikit Santiago, Collier Schorr, Kaylene Whisky and much more.
Take part in this generous conversation with amazing Australian women artists, there is a joining fee to participate in this 60-minute real-time discussion and knowledge sharing with this fantastic group of artists, creatives and industry professionals.
Kindly note that the joining fee gives digital access to the Vault Art + Culture Magazine Issue 32 and most importantly majority of the fees being collected from the digital event will be given to panels nominated charities.
