We will be celebrating the 11th Lethbridge 20000 Small scale Art Award this June! We are excited to announce we will be expanding the show over two locations to include Latrobe Art Space (previously Percolator Gallery), our new gallery space.
Showcasing a variety of small scale artworks by emerging and mid-career Australian artists, the award creates an opportunity to buy the artists of tomorrow. Judging is based on three equally evaluated criteria of creativity, originality and skill with the winner receiving $20000 prize money.
The finalists for the 2020 Lethbridge 20 000 Small Scale Art Award have now been selected and the artists are now preparing their artworks to send to the gallery for the exhibition.
This year our sponsor, Bienarte (The Home of Brisbane Painting Classes) has increased their support this year with a sponsorship of a Highly Commended cash prize for $1,000 and vouchers for classes. We are also pleased to announce Brisbane Digital Images and Centenary Framing for sponsoring the highly commended awards.
The exhibition will be showing from the 18th until the 27th of June. The opening is usually our biggest night of the year, however this year the announcement of the winner and presentation of the prizes will be online where people can view from the comfort of their own homes. The exhibition will be showing during normal gallery hours, giving people the chance to see and buy a great collection of artworks.
