WHEN : 14th May, 6:00-7:00pm
WHERE : The Glasshouse, QUT, Kelvin Grove, Brisbane
Join Debra Porch and three of her past students, Caitlin Franzmann, Kat Danger-Sawyer, and Chantal Fraser as they discuss the relevance of ‘histories’ to the future of women in the arts. The conversation reflects the importance of the ‘everyday’ as an element in understanding the navigation between the individual and the ‘artist’.
Born in Chicago, Debra has a Masters Degree in Art from San Diego State University (1979) and a PhD from the Queensland University of Technology (2006). She is Associate Professor in Fine Art at Queensland College of Art, Griffith University, Brisbane. Debra has presented her installation-based art in one-person exhibitions and numerous group shows.
This project has received financial assistance from the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and is supported by QUT Creative Industries Precinct.
