Like Yesterday

Deadline:

28 March
-
June 13
Caboolture Regional Art Gallery

Sun, sand and surf are deeply woven into Australian culture, shaping memories of family holidays, long summers and time spent by the sea. Like Yesterday explores our relationship with the beach through the lens of nostalgia, reflecting on the feelings of loss, longing and connection tied to seaside memories.

The exhibition asks audiences to consider what it is we miss when we look back. Are we yearning for simpler times and familiar places, or does nostalgia reveal how much has changed — and what still needs to change?

Featuring artworks from the City of Moreton Bay Art Collection, Like Yesterday brings together works that reflect on personal and collective experiences of the Australian coastline and the emotions connected to place, memory and identity.

The exhibition was developed by City of Moreton Bay.
