The LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize celebrates excellence, artistic merit and innovation in contemporary craft. The 10th edition invites professional artisans to submit original works that demonstrate artistic intent alongside technical skill.
Eligible works must be original, handmade or partly handmade, created within the past five years, one-of-a-kind and previously without a prize. Works should demonstrate innovation by updating traditional craft practices and fall within an area of applied arts, including ceramics, bookbinding, enamelwork, jewellery, lacquer, metal, furniture, leather, textiles, glass, paper and wood.
Applications can be submitted individually or as a group. Applicants must submit their registration in English, including 2–5 photographs of the work or series and a brief conceptual statement. There is no registration fee.
The winner will receive €50,000, with two Special Mentions receiving €5,000 each. The winning work and shortlisted works will be presented in the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2027 exhibition and accompanying catalogue in Europe in spring 2027.
