Deadline: 8 March

Studio Maverik presents a Sunday afternoon Long Pose Life Drawing session at Side Gallery in Red Hill, Magandjin.

This casual, self-guided two-hour session focuses on a single extended pose, allowing participants time to explore detail, tone, composition and form. The session begins with a series of short warm-up poses before transitioning into one sustained pose held in 20-minute increments (with short breaks throughout).

The session is limited to 15 participants, creating an intimate and focused studio environment. Artists are invited to draw, paint or sculpt among the rotating exhibitions within the private studio space of Side Gallery.

All experience levels are welcome. Sessions are facilitated by local artists Frances and Rhianna of Studio Maverik, who foster a safe, inclusive and contemporary life drawing environment for both beginners and experienced practitioners.

What to bring:
Participants are encouraged to bring preferred materials, including wet media such as ink, paint or watercolour (drop sheets and cleaning materials required). Chairs and A3 drawing boards are provided, and attendees may bring easels or additional boards if desired. Basic drawing materials are available on site.

BYO snacks and sips. Light nibbles provided.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to set up.

The studio level is not wheelchair accessible.
