Looking Back, Looking Forward, examines the past, present and future through the eyes and hands of 15 Australian artists who are respectfully navigating their way through the politics and sociologies of the culturally diverse society in which they live.
Featuring: Ruth Cho, Casey Coolwell, Paula Cordoba, Mark du Potiers, Madison Hargraves, Leigh Lynam, Sally Malloy, Dylan Mooney, Dylan Sara, Erika Scott, Daniel Sherington and Diana Vallejo.
Inspired by Susan Best’s 2015 article “Anger and Repair: The Art and Politics of Judy Watson’s Holes in the Land”, which explores different reparative aesthetics, the work by these First-Nation, multicultural, and Anglo heritage Australian artists contributes a combined voice, communicating their idea of a better Australia.

Curated by Kyra Mancktelow, Perrin Millard and Virginie Senbel.
