Weaving is the act of using loops and knots, warps and wefts, to turn simple strands into vessels, mats, bags, adornment and cultural objects. Join us for a series of hands-on workshops for young people aged 15–18 years.
Learn how to weave from a group of respected artists, who will share incredible techniques and cultural knowledge from their own Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and Pacific heritage. In each workshop, you will pick up all the skills you need to create your own woven object. This is an opportunity to celebrate your own cultural traditions and learn about those of others.
