‘Lost Girls, Strong Girls and the Assembled Image’ is a solo exhibition by Rachael Bartram. ‘The Lost Girls…’ project began in 2012 and this culminating exhibition presents a new body of work with the aim of further developing Rachael’s career as an emerging artist working in the Gold Coast/Brisbane region.

“One of the key objectives to this studio investigation was to combine the primary and intuitive processes I use when producing work with a medium that was relatively new to my practice, namely moving image. In a thematic aspect, I was interested in the visual re-interpretation of the female protagonist’s ‘journey’ and how the identity of this archetype varies in its likeness from the realistic to the hollow and fanciful.” Rachael Bartram
