Lucy Griggs was born in Sydney in 1976 and currently lives and works between Melbourne and Almaty. She completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Honours year at the Queensland University of Technology in 2001 and a Master of Visual Arts (first class honours) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2007.
Awards include a six-month term as Artist in Residence at Metro Arts, Brisbane in 2003, the VCA Fiona Myer Award in 2006 and the VCA Elliott Family Ten Year Collection Award in 2007.
