Opening exhibition: Zhang Peili
Zhang Peili is a senior artist who emerged in the first wave of Chinese contemporary art in the 1980s. The exhibition explores the artist’s treatment of screen media, from his early VHS works to his recent use of LED technnology. This unique presentation of Zhang’s screen-based artworks provides insights into the artist’s ongoing critique of authority and power structures, including those of technology, language, politics and medicine.
