MAD House is a creative residency in Porto, Portugal, offering artists, designers, makers and creative practitioners time and space to develop their work. Residents live and work from MAD House for one to three months, with a small group of 2–4 residents hosted at a time.
The residency provides accommodation, access to a shared workspace, weekly dinners and support meetings. MAD House is a creative home and working residency rather than a fabrication studio. Residents are responsible for their own travel, materials, external studio or fabrication costs, meals and other personal expenses.
Applications require a €10 non-refundable application fee. Residency places are confirmed once the required deposit has been received, with deposits and application fees non-refundable.
Overnight guests require prior approval and incur an additional €25 per night fee, with a maximum stay of three consecutive nights.
