Flying Arts Alliance presents Maintaining Momentum, a solo exhibition by moo (Sam Matthews), winner of the Remote Artist Award at the 2025 Queensland Regional Art Awards.
Living and working in Far North Queensland, moo creates ceramic works inspired by the natural environment and the quiet moments of connection that emerge through close observation of place. Her practice explores sustainability through the use of recycled and leftover clay, while reflecting on themes of balance, resourcefulness and belonging.
Maintaining Momentum continues the ideas explored in her award-winning work Remembering to Breathe, inviting audiences to slow down, notice the small things and reconnect with the landscapes that shape our lives.
