Raja Kirik are an Indonesian duo—Yennu Ariendra and J. Mo’ong Santoso Pribadi—two radical artists who draw on Java’s rich cultural traditions. Their works together explore the sound worlds expanding outward, drawn from their interest in the shamanistic dance traditions associated with Jaranan, an 11th Century Hindu-Buddhist tradition.

They are joined by vocalist, musician, and ethereal soundscaper Penelope Trappes who meshes aspects of ambience, post-classical timbres, and devolved song form to create deeply impressionistic music.

Doors at 6pm for 6.30pm start
6:30pm Penelope Trappes
7:30pm Raja Kirik
