Richard’s practice explores the tensions he observes within the built environment through a range of approaches. It seeks to question the role of geometry and structure in the contemporary human experience, particularly in regard to our conception of simplicity and complexity, and order and disorder.
For Mould Richard aims to further consider the relationship between simplicity and complexity via a mixed medium exploration of construction formwork, while also investigating the dual meaning of the exhibition title, particularly in relationship to notions of control.
